Abstract:
Objective: To research systematic evaluation the clinical efficacy of different traditional Chinese medicine extracts and preparations in reducing cardiac adverse reactions caused by chemotherapy drug doxorubicin. Methods : Search papers in PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Google Scholar, CNKI, Wanfang, Embase and VIP databases, and the retrieval time limit is from the establishment of the database to May 2023. To screen randomized controlled clinical trials on the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine al Chinese medicine extracts and preparations in reducing DOX treatment of various cancer-induced cardiac adverse reactions, and use Review Manager 5.4 for Meta-analysis. Results : Eight study of RCTs were included. In terms of curative effect index, among different indicators, according to different studies, the ECG abnormalities in the treatment group of each Chinese herbal extract and its preparation were lower than those in the control group (RR=0.37, 95% CI 0. 28-0.49), the incidence of cardiotoxicity in the treatment groups in the 5 studies was less than that in the control group (RR=0.43, 95% CI 0. 33-0.57). The value of ck-MB in the treatment group was notably lower than that in the control group after treatment (SMD=-3.46, 95% CI -3.83 to -3.10, P < 0. 01). The value of cTnI in the observation group after treatment was significantly lower than that in the control group ( SMD = - 2. 44, 95% CI -2.75 to -2.13 , P <0. 01). The LVIDD value and LVISD value of all observation groups were significantly lower than those of the control group (SMD=-1.72, 95% CI -2. 08 to -1. 37, P >< 0. 01; SMD =-1. 32, 95% CI -1. 65 to 1.00, P < 0. 01) ; FS values of all observation groups were higher than those of the control group ( SMD = 0.76, 95% CI -0. 49 to -1.03, P < 0.01)the LVEF values of all observation groups were significantly greater than those of the control group (SMD=-0.76, 95% CI -0.56--0.95 ~ -1.37, P < 0.01). Conclusion : The 8 included studies showed that Chinese herbal extracts and their products were effective in reducing adverse cardiac reactions of doxorubicin in all indicators.
